Our Body’s Natural Energy Fields

Our Body’s Natural Energy Fields
Our bodies naturally produce electromagnetic fields. We have known about them since they were first measured in the 1960’s. We are just beginning to realize their importance. We now know that exposure to these same physiologic fields provides pain relief. There is significant evidence that these electromagnetic fields are an important component of our living systems. It is well understood that our bodies operate best within a relatively narrow temperature range (+ or – about 2 degrees). We provide heat and air conditioning to maintain our temperature at the appropriate humidity level. There is a chemical balance that must be maintained. We eat the right foods, drink enough fluids, take vitamins and often take drugs to maintain our chemical balance. Add in the need for mental, emotional balance and we begin to understand how complicated our biological systems really are.Are physiologic electromagnetic fields important? There is a lot of research that shows that they are important. Maintaining the correct electromagnetic fields is as necessary as maintaining proper temperature and chemistry. The fields must exist at the right levels for our bodies to operate in a healthy manner.Electromagnetic energy fields are all around us. Visible light is electromagnetic energy that we are all well aware of. Our eyes have evolved to allow us to sense the very narrow visible light range of an electromagnetic spectrum that also includes radio waves, infrared, ultraviolet, microwaves, x-rays, right on up to gamma rays of energy. Sitting in your car you are surrounded by dozens of electromagnets. Our televisions, computers, telephones, appliances and the wires that run through our homes generate electromagnetic radiation. The Earth generates its own magnetic field. Outer space is filled with electromagnetic fields. We cannot see or feel, or in any other way sense, over 99% of the fields that exist. We endure exposure to very powerful energy fields including MRI machines that have the power to make a wrench fly across the room. We are oblivious to most electromagnetic fields. But, why do our bodies produce their own fields? And, why should we ignore them?As long as we are alive we generate electromagnetic fields that envelop our entire body. They exist in spite of our constant exposure to all of the much more powerful, potentially overwhelming, fields around us. In fact, the more alive we are the more of these physiologic fields we generate. They are created when we use our muscles; the more active we are the more field we generate. The same applies to mental activity. We do not produce more powerful fields by being more active, but we produce more of the same very subtle energy fields. We have determined that if enough of this very subtle energy is maintained at a minimum threshold level it promotes healthy, balanced biochemical processes very similar to the way our biochemistry is affected by temperature. This electromagnetic energy is extremely weak, but we must have enough of it to stay healthy. And, when we expose diseased tissue to these same precisely defined fields we reestablish balance, our body chemistry operates better, and, for arthritic conditions in particular, we have proven that pain is reduced and flexibility is improved. Most importantly, quality of life is enhanced without fear of side-effects.
