The Persistent Chronic Pain of Arthritis

When arthritis pain persists for weeks, months and even years, it is defined as chronic arthritis pain. Technically, the difference between acute and chronic arthritis pain is simply the length of time that the arthritis joint pain must be endured. But, people who suffer chronically from lower back pain, upper back and neck pain, inflammatory pain and arthritis joint pain in general, will tell you that they would trade chronic for acute in a heartbeat. It's more than just the persistence.
Studies show that chronic arthritis pain stresses the body as well as the soul, causing blood pressure to spike and leading to heart attacks and strokes. It consumes energy and degrades the immune system. People live with an inescapable, grueling, disabling, punishingly frustrating, lonely and consuming quest to find relief from an unrelenting physical misery that can destroy their quality of life and, often separates them from family, friends and colleagues.
Healthy people cannot understand what it is like to live in constant pain. They are sympathetic but can't begin to comprehend the suffering, so when arthritis pain becomes chronic it tends to isolate the sufferer in a prison of solitude.
Chronic pain clinics, surgeons, pharmaceutical makers and mind-body therapists attempt to treat the sufferers of chronic arthritis pain, many of whom never find true relief. People try every sort of remedy, from nerve-block injections, radio-frequency ablation and fusion surgery to methadone and marijuana.
In their search for arthritis pain control they often overlook the fact that the body's own energy fields have been shown to provide natural relief from arthritis pain without the worry of side effects. This drug free arthritis treatment method readily relieves acute pain and, because the treatments are cumulative, chronic pain is progressively brought under control. It is a new complimentary/alternative therapy that can help chronic arthritis pain sufferers get back to doing those things that make life fun again.
